Chris is the first “outsider” to become an offical member of CEGA. Unlike most members, Chris didn’t grow up in Walnut Creek. What makes Chris different from the others that have come and gone is that he realizes that CEGA is no joke. He respects both the game and the league and you don’t have to look any further than his success on tour to prove this. His first year was 2005. The veterans were pleased to pull up to the first tournament of the year and notice that Chris was already on the practice range. (We knew we had someone special!) In his first tournament ever, he holed an 80 yard pitch shot for an eagle. Chris was just getting started. Three tournaments later was the Masters where Chris did the unthinkable and won the tournament as a “rookie” -- marking the first time this feat had ever been accomplished He took this momentum and rode his short game all the way to Player of The Year honors for 2005. No man has ever won a POTY in their 1st campaign except Chris Bjuhr. Away from the course, Chris is counted on for his fine cooking. When the tour travels, he is the main cook and his Fairfield BBQ skills are on full display. No person ever buys a club on tour without getting consent from CB. He is known throughout the eBay community and golf websites as being an expert and we all lean on his knowledge. We can only hope that CEGA can bring more players like Chris Bjuhr aboard. He is a great player and an even better friend.
